Our Story

Boston Epoxy Floor Pros started with a single conviction: that Greater Boston homeowners deserved a floor coating contractor who would prep the slab correctly every single time — not cut corners on grinding, not skip moisture vapor testing on basements, and not hand over a verbal warranty and disappear. We built the company around those three commitments and haven't changed them. Every installation begins with commercial diamond grinding. Every basement job is moisture-tested before a system is specified. Every customer receives a written warranty at project completion.

Why We Specialize in Epoxy and Polyaspartic Floor Coatings

We do one thing. We don't offer painting, general contracting, or pressure washing alongside floor coatings as side services. Specialization means our estimators understand every variable that affects a floor coating outcome — soil conditions by neighborhood, slab age by housing era, MVE risk by geography — in a way that a generalist contractor who "also does epoxy" cannot match. What We Don't Do

We don't install epoxy paint from hardware stores — it's not a professional-grade system and we don't warrant it. We don't acid-etch instead of grinding — acid etching leaves residue that interferes with adhesion and produces shorter-lived coatings in Massachusetts's climate. We don't skip MVE testing on below-grade applications to save time. We don't quote over the phone. We don't install systems we can't warranty. If a slab has active structural movement, active water intrusion, or conditions that make a durable installation impossible, we'll tell you honestly rather than take the job and hand you a warranty we know we'll be replacing.

How We Got Here

Every aspect of our process was developed in response to the specific failure modes we observed in Greater Boston's epoxy flooring market: coatings that peeled because the installer skipped grinding, blistered coatings from untested MVE on Cambridge and Somerville basement slabs, chalked and yellowed finishes from aromatic topcoats that weren't UV-stable.
